I love sailing; it runs in the family. For the past five years I've been a sailing instructor at Haddock Watersport. With a few good friends, I'm competing in a weekly competition, and one crazy weekend in November we 'DWARPED' our way through Friesland. Since I was baby I have never missed an annual sailing trip together with my father -- sometimes to Dover, sometimes to 'de Schelp'.
I love to read. Mostly I love classics like The Lord of the Flies - Crime and Punishment - A Farewell to Arms - A Catcher in the Rye - To Sir, With Love - Animal Farm - everything from Hermann Hesse - A Brave New World - To Kill a Mockingbird - Stoner - Kamermensen - The Little Prince - The Alchemist - The Trial - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
I love being a world citizen. When I was 15, my mother and me made a trek through the Himalayas, and this really shook me awake. I realized that the world is huge, beautiful, terribly unfair, and that good people attract other good people. Studying for two semesters at a college in the USA taught me to really give it my best shot, and studying for two semesters in India taught me that you can put me anywhere on this world and I'll make a great life for myself. In fact, this is where I found the love of my life, and India has since become my second home.
